Hope that helps a bit

Yes. Thanks for your input!
Would students be judged by their supervisors if they don't get high marks for their final year project?
75 for my dissertation and It's worth 40 credits. Now to try and decide on a topic for masters... Eek :colone: I'll actually work on it more this year

Guys, I want to get a present for my supervisor but I don't know what to get for him. One of my friends got him a photo frame. Any suggestions? What did you buy yours? :colondollar:

My undergrad dissertation was on ABBA fans, so I bought my supervisor a copy of ABBA Gold and the film Mamma Mia! (there was, very handily, a special offer going on these two in HMV the day I went to look for things to buy him :awesome: ) :yeah:

You're making me feel bad lol, as I didn't get mine anything. I only saw him twice - both times for less than 10 minutes - so it didn't even occur to me. Don't me wrong, he was a great guy and was approachable - I just didn't have any need to speak to him about it, not least because it wasn't his specialism and so he didn't have a lot to say on the subject.

It is a lovely idea though, especially if your supervisor has been helpful during the process.

Well, my supervisor was our personal tutor for four years (only 6 of is do a particular specialism) so I feel obligated and want to :colone:

That's a lovely gift  I am in such a dilemma. Ugh, I would get him something music based but wouldn't know where to start. Haha may get him a bible!

I ended up buying wine (oh the stress that went into that), and also bought a copy of Robin Hood and Friar Tuck: Zombie Killers - A Canterbury Tale Told in Verse, although I gave that to him separately. Perfectly overlapped with the modules - Robin Hood and Canterbury Tales - that he taught me for final year. Totally random book though...

Wine is a good call but I am hopeless at choosing good wines. Mmmm

Our dissertation group have bought our supervisor a Buddha butter dish and tattoo sleeves! They're amazing! She's mentioned being tempted to trick her husband into thinking she has gotten tattoos before so we thought they'd be funny and we specialise in Buddhism and she likes quirky things do that's why we got the dish. I've also got another lecturer I reslly have enjoyed the modules by a fiction book which has a lot of its storyline based around the dead sea scrolls which is his specialism. I've been reading it and thought he may like it.

I'm a bit stuck what to get my personal tutor, so will probably buy him wine.
I don't get a percentage, but I got a middle 2:1 on my dissertation! I guess the percentage is roughly around 63-65% but I don't know for sure. Really happy with that
We got our dissertations back today and I got 76!!! Over the moon  unfortunately, somehow half of it had come unbound??? No idea how that could have happened! I'm going to get it rebound though  so pleased!

Just found out I got a B+ on my dissertation. We don't get a percentage but A+, A, A- = a first, B's = 2:1 and C's = 2:2 and D's = third. So, a high 2:1. I find out my degree classification next week. (I did my placement late due to illness so finished late hence why I haven't got my results yet.)

Sorry, wrong thread and I don't know how to delete :colondollar:
how to analyse qualitative data for my dissertation? I've done few unstructured interviews and did a questionnaire as well, so ho should I present the result and then how should I conduct the analysis?
