I have a dell inspiron with i3 processor and windows 7 (windows 8 is so horribly wrong), and i've had it for 1 year

I got mine in december 2010 as well (had it for christmas).
Ive had it for just over 2 years now.
My previous laptop survived for 4 years until it totally broke last summer. Got it fixed but it was never the same after that, so I ended up getting a new one, which I've had for a few months now. Love it to bits! So much better than my other one

Has actually lasted pretty well, and hasn't slowed down too much, especially when compared to my first one that lasted 2 years before becoming unbearable slow!
Bought a Microsoft Surface a few months ago, so that's put off any new computer purchases for a while

I've had my macbook pro 4 years now.
I've replaced the optical disk drive and hard drive. The hard drive technically was working fine but I needed more space and its good to replace the hard drive after a couple of years. Never had an issue with the OS which is part of the reason I love working on macs.

Built it nearly two months ago, and I'm already planning upgrades

Had my laptop for four years now but I've not used is since I built the desktop.

Main desktop computer has been going for 6 years, still fast and can run games such as COD at decent resolutions. Comes with built in WiFi, Intel Core 2 Duo and a separate OS based on Linux purely for watching/recording live TV. When it was purchased it was way ahead of its time.

My laptop is a little over 4 years old, and is falling apart. It's on it's second replacement charger, the battery needs replacing, one of the hinges is broke, the power button has had to be repositioned twice, the mousepad doesn't work so I'm having to use a mouse, I've had to replace the hard drive. But I'm all nostalgic and refuse to replace it.
I got my netbook in September, although it was second hand it was only about 6 months old then. If it had a disk drive I'd be perfect as a replacement for the dying laptop, but it does all the essentials and then I just use the laptop for Spotify, iTunes and watching films...

It's a Compaq Presario CQ70. But to be fair I've given it about 7 years of use in the 4 years I've had it. I can't write because of a condition in my hands so since the first year of college it's come everywhere with me. Honestly surprised it's lasted this long.
