M2 Question help please.

Please help me with the question below. I just want seem to get my head around on how to work out the tension without using the weight.

In this instance, "ignore the weight of the hammer" means to ignore the effects of gravity, not to ignore the hammer's mass.

What formulae do you know for the centripetal force when you're considering circular motion? Assume that the tension in the wire is equal to this force (which is fine, because we're ignoring gravity).

thanks for the help ... forgot the difference between weight and mass :colondollar:
