I originally posted this in the welcome lounge, with no luck. So here's hoping, I'll find a friend here :3
Hello! I'm Leanne c: I'm looking to attend Bradford University, next year. As I'm coming from the south-west (Wiltshire), my mum is worried about me not having friends, and spending the four years of my course alone, like what I've done at college for the last 3 years - I have nothing in common with my class mates, and I know they don't like me, so I decided to keep to myself.
So I thought I'd post in here, after being a lurker for the past few years with no account. Uh. Here's a little about myself.
I'm 19, from Wiltshire. I'm hoping to study Healthcare Sciences and then go on to Embryology. In my first year of my BTEC course (after 2 failed years of A levels), I achieved D*D*, and I'm aiming to make that a triple this year.
I like gaming, cosplay, anime, and drawing. My favourite games are Fallout: New Vegas, League of Legends, Sims, Red Dead Redemption, and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (It's the only one I've played, please don't hate me .__.). I play on both PC and PS3, aiming to get XbOne, because Master Chief Collection looks boss.
My favourite anime series are Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online (and GGO. In fact, I prefer GGO -unpopular opinion-), Squid Girl (she is so darn cute!), and Fullmetal Alchemist (Brotherhood is better and probably my favourite out of the whole lot!).
I don't watch a hole lot of TV, but Supernatural is one of my favourite TV shows. Occasionally, I'll put on Adventure Time, Regular Show, Amazing World of Gumball, Chowder, or the Marvellous Misadventures of Flapjack.
I own an 11K Facebook page, called Vault Girl, and more recently, I spend most of my time derping around on Crunchyroll, LoL or Minecraft.
Music wise, My Chemical Romance is my life. But other than that, I'll listen to anything alternative, metal, or rock; Paramore, All Time Low, Panic! At the Disco, The Pretty Reckless, August Burns Red, Bullet For My Valentine, Slayer, Disturbed, etc.
I'm just looking for a few friends with similar interests to me, who are attending the same uni, or even better doing the same course and staying in the same accommodation (Universal Student Living, on Laisteridge Lane) that I can hang out with, so I'm not alone again.
I know I'll make friends at uni, but I'd rather get to know people now, because I'm really slow at getting out of my shell.
But anyway, hi! c:
