Science extended degree at London Metropolitan?

I'm trying to get back into uni after being on a gap year.
I'm planning on studying Pharmacology but don't have the right requirements, a friend suggested to study a Science extended degree at London Metropolitan but after looking through posts about the university I am wondering if its worth it to go through this route?
If I did finish the Science extended degree at London Met, could I transfer to a better university?
Is it better to study A-levels again?
Any other route suggestions?

maybe look at foundation courses that universities off that allow you to progress onto a pharmacology course straight after
