Oxford, Durham, Manchester and Hull

A lot of the courses I've seen are kinda... lame rip offs of the oxford course? Leeds and Manchester seem to do it right though

Econ is the best!!! You know you wanna PPE, you'll get bored of all the politics talk after a while of not being able to bring aggregate demand into it

Ah goodluck!

I saw that LSE and UCL are offering it for the first time, I don't want to go to London though.

Aha but I do enjoy politics a lot, and I really want to do the work placement in Congress.

Applied to medicine  really wanna get in and leeds is my first choice.
I am an international student and i think leeds is a really good town to stay in. I may go and visit the uni in december.
BMAT is killing me now and i need to do well
I choose leeds because they rank for AS or GCSE only

The LSE one was a BSc?? How can you do a BSc in politics and philosophy?

I was liking the work placements on offer from the economics course at Leeds, the treasury, government economic service, etc. I didn't look at politics alone so I don't know what's on offer there, you can do work placements in congress??

I just wanted to get it out of the way and it's motivating during exam season to know I've got a place to go next year.

I didn't look into it much but their Politics/IR course is a BSc as well?

Ah great, they offer really good ones, is that something you'll do as well? The politics with parliamentary studies course lets you have a year in the House of Commons or 6 months in the commons and 6 months in congress/canadian parliament which nowhere else offers.

yeah hopefully, but i'd have to do 50% economics. Hopefully if I did more politics i'd be able to swap out, they seem quite flexible in the PPE department?

Oh okay. Do you get to specialise straight away? Or is it an even spread in the first year?

No I've only just applied, no offer yet. The deadline is the 15th of January though. As long as you meet that, you're fine.

Just sent of my UCAS form to study Neuroscience here , I shall now continue to crap myself whenever I get an e-mail for the next couple of weeks.

Same! I submitted my application on over 2 and a half weeks ago for Maths and I jump every time I hear the email notification on my phone! Still have no offers but they keep emailing me to tell me they have my application and are considering it - it's like they're trying to tease me :s-smilie:

Ah the woes of university living ._. I liked the look of Charles Morris but it's catered for, so maybe Henry Price?

If you want an en-suite to yourself don't go to Henry Price - I think they're mostly share with another person and it's this tiny, tiny, really thin room between the two bedrooms with a shower head and a toilet and there's no lock on the inside of the doors so the other person could walk in while you're having a shower or on the toilet! :colondollar: Also I spoke to someone at an open day who's sister lived there and she said there's no shower curtain or anything so everything gets so wet that you can't even leave toilet paper in there.. Have you seen Leodis it looks amazing from the pictures on the website? En-suite, self-catered and only a 7 minute walk from the campus.
