What actually is the foundation year?

Is it basically a level equivalents?

It's basically if you don't get the required grades for a course, or you don't do the right subjects for a course. Each one is different, in mine I think I do a lot of maths to prepare for the engineering course. Handy if you messed up at A level like me

Some people would argue its best to just redo your a levels.

Personally I like alternative entry. For example I'm actually doing an access course.

I think it's possible to give a ring to the uni admission office. I think they can help you finding out your status. They also have email, but calling them is definitely faster. This is the number that I've got from the uni webpage +44 (0)1484 473969
