To be fair, the poster said "should be" rather than "will be". I think if you get AAC and have a BBB offer, although you can technically be rejected, it would be pretty unlikely unless the subject the C was in was required by the uni, or in the subject to be studied.

With the caveats above, I think your original post was fine. A lot of misinformation does get posted in unis though, which makes some posters a bit wary.

Very simply ...

Clearing is for those who didnt get the grades for either their Firm or Insurance places and therefore have no Uni place. Clearing allows them to apply to Universities with empty places, http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/content.php?r=15485-introduction-to-clearing

Yes. It's official data. However there appears to be some aggregation for very small courses. Moreover it means what it says. Therefore if the proportion of course graduates in employment is 99% that may mean 50% waitressing and 49% burger flipping. If it says 99% of engineering graduates are in graduate employment that could mean 49% in HR and 50% TEFLing.

Probably because A Level exams finish the latest? IB results come out in ~2 weeks from now cause our exams finished on May 22.

In addition to this, A Levels are also taken by more students than the IB and other Level 3 qualifications (especially as some qualifications like BTEC will have ongoing marking throughout the year).

Are you sure? Aren't A Levels students concentrated mainly in the UK, while more of IB students can be found worldwide? I know there aren't as many IB students in the UK alone, but surely there are more IB students than A Level students internationally?

I was talking specifically in terms of the UK, sorry I should have made that clear. While it's true there are more IB students worldwide, A-level students are more heavily concentrated in the UK, and all A-levels are marked in the UK, whereas most IB exams are marked in the country where they were sat, as far as I am aware.

Hi,
I know i have the grades to meet my firm (ABB)
but i don't want to go there anymore.
Should i risk releasing myself into clearing now ahead of results day
or should i wait to see if i qualify for adjustment,
I DEFINITELY won't be happy at my firm and i KNOW i don't want to go there, at all.
I'm a bit worried because universities such as Manchester have written on their page

I think it's worth the risk.
Will my firm retake me in if i decide to apply through clearing,
My reasoning is more complex than just not wanting to go there. I also might need to stay in London due to having to care for a family member, this is not definite this is a maybe. If i explain this to them and the situation changes will they let me reapply?
