Lighter session tonight. And back still the same.

Squats:

105 x 5/5

Light squat day.

Bench press:

87.5 x 5/5/5

Not too bad.

Chins:

bodyweight x 7/7/7/2

Meh, knew I never really had much in me for the last set. Might try doing weighted chins occasionally, even if it's just for a single or double, to see if it helps.

Some mobility then home.

Sorry. Meant cleans. Always get mixed up between the two.

Saw a thread the other day from some years ago with your comment! Used to be quite the character hahaha

Ahh the good ol days
Decent session tonight, and back still the same.

Squats:

145 x 5/5/5

Harder.

Press:

69 x 5/5/5

Very hard, but an all time PR.

Deadlifts:

165 x 5

Not too bad. Got told I am hyper-extending my low back at the lock-out, which is something I'll have to fix.

Did some lacrosse ball work, then home.
Very nice squats and press.

Thanks. Still a bit off my squat PR but happy to be into press PR territory. Hopefully I'll get 70 next time.

Are you using microplates? Or how did you get to 69?

My gym has micro-plates. I'm beginning to see that they're very useful.

Squats are nearing PR territory no?

Very strong pressing. Ahead of me now.

Can imagine so. Maybe a worth while purchase for myself.

Best squat is 160 3 x 5. Still a bit away from that.
Meh session tonight. Left should and bicep not feeling great. Not sure what's wrong. Back still the same.

Squats:

147.5 x 5/5/5

Not bad at all to be honest.

CGBP:

70 x 5

Stopped there because of shoulder and biceps not feeling great.

Barbell rows:

90 x 5/5

Again not feeling great on the biceps.

Some lacrosse ball work then home.
Not a bad session this afternoon. Left should, bicep and back still feeling the same.

Squats:

150 x 5/5/5

Quite hard. Maybe not keeping tight enough and allowing form to relapse a bit.

Press:

70 x 5/5/5

Happy with this PR. But was difficult.

Chins:

Bodyweight x 7/7/7

Meh.

Some mobility and then home.

Ahh you're finally breaking through with your press! Well done

It's taking me forever to progress on squats but I guess the gains are starting to slow down....been stuck at 120 for a while
Not a bad session tonight. Feel that shoulder is improving a bit, and also think it's perhaps a bicep tendon issue. Back still the same.

Squats:

152.5 x 5/5/5

Form didn't feel great - not tight enough, not staying in the hips enough.

CGBP:

80 x 5/5/5

Should/bicep tendon/whatever still not 100% on these but managed all reps without much difficulty.

Chins:

bodyweight x 4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4

Trying to get more volume in. These were quite hard.

Some lacrosse ball work then home.
Not a bad session tonight. Shoulder and back still the same, and knee not great after Wednesday's squats - as I knew at the time, I wasn't keeping in the hips and had a few bad asymmetrical reps where it felt like too much of the force went through my right knee, so I didn't squat tonight.

Press:

71 x 5/5/5

Very difficult, but a 1 kg PR. Used the belt too.

Deadlifts:

170 x 5

Used the ever so slightly thicker bar with the not so great knurling so grip wasn't as strong as I'd have liked which might have made this feel a little harder. But main goal was to pull with perfect extension, and was told I largely achieved this bar a little bit of thoracic rounding. Maybe I'm slightly kyphotic or maybe I wasn't forcing my chest up enough or taking in enough air.

Some stretching and lacrosse ball work then home.
Just a quick one this afternoon. Wanted to squat to see how the knee felt, and back and shoulder/bicep still the same, so didn't really do any upper body work. Actually I did do a set of 5 or so chins but they felt heavy so didn't push them. Seeing if the bicep/shoulder thing dies down a bit.

Squats:

145 x 5/5/5

Not too bad. De-loaded a bit as my form over the last session or two has been getting progressively worse, not staying in the hips or keeping tight enough, culminating in a sore right knee after last time. Knee felt fine squatting.

Some lacrosse ball work and stretching, then home.
Not a bad session tonight. Back still the same.

Squats:

147 x 5/5/5

Not too bad.

Press:

72 x 5/5/1
80 x 1

First two sets really difficult; had nothing left in me for the last, hence only getting one rep. Tried 80 for the hell of it which was also really difficult. But at least 72 is a PR.

Deadlift:

175 x 5

Not too bad, but still too much upper back rounding for my liking.

Some lacrosse ball work then home.
Squats from tonight:

Those squats looked piss easy and fast.
