Geology at Hull?

Has anyone here studied, or is currently studying, Geology at the University of Hull?

At the moment I have Keele University as my firm choice, with an offer for BSc Geology and Physical Geography, however I think that I should've chosen a pure Geology degree instead. The BSc Geology degree at Hull looks quite interesting, and I'm thinking of visiting at one of their next open days (in October I think).

I would like to know what you think/thought of the course, would you recommend it?
Also, can anyone please tell me a bit more about the course content, as I can only seem to find the module titles?

Thanks

Hi, I'm currently going into my third year doing BSc Geology with Physical Geography at Hull and it is a really good course however since introducing the new pure Geology course I would have definitely picked that one as the addition of Physical Geography in my opinion means you learn less geology. However, doing a joint degrees provides a wider range of knowledge of both subjects creating a wide spectrum of job opportunities; Physical Geography entails climate change, rivers and landform processes etc. Pure Geology will give more detail of geology as that is the main focus of its course for example igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary. Here's a link to the BSc Geology (click study to find course details) http://www2.hull.ac.uk/ug/courses/geology.aspx and BSc Geology with Physical Geography http://www2.hull.ac.uk/ug/courses/geology-physical-geography.aspx just to compare.

Both degrees are accredited and will not affect future job applications  - this was a frequent question for us when we did a joint degree rather than pure as we thought that we might be shunned by interviewers. So, it is simply down to what you want to focus on more and which uni you think would provide you with the knowledge of what you want to be doing. P.S. I'm the awkward girl in the bright green jacket :')
