Do Club 18-30 ruin holidays by making groups stick together and follow the rep?

I went to Corfu with Club-18-30 and it was pretty good. At the beginning of the trip we were given the option to pay a lump sum for a list of activities, such as booze cruises, bar crawls etc, which we paid. You aren't under any obligation to stick with the group or go to every activity, and you can break off from the group whenever. It's good fun if you like drinking and clubbing. Personally, after a couple of their nights out, I felt like I was dying, so we took a couple days off to do our own thing. They're definitely helpful though!
