FP1 series question help

Hi all,

Please look at the attached image.

The answer is "n(2n^3 - 8n^2 + 11n - 6)" but I can't understand why.

Could someone point me in the correct direction please?

Thank you!

What did you try?
One of the simplest ways to go about it might be to just use standard results for series and simplify.

That's great thanks very much for your prompt replies!

I have looked at my working and I have realised that it was simply a missing "n" that was throwing all of my work off track!

Thanks for your help!
