Tickling ppl

So how ticklish are people?
i'm not ticklish at all for one, well i am but just slightly. (super dampened tickle receptors for me)

my friend told me this is apparently
being ticklish is linked to your sense of danger, so if something touches or scrapes your ribs then you know you're in a bad place and you should do something about it. My friend told me that i'd be f**ked if something came along and tickled me then proceeded to kill me or if something just grazed my ribs etc since i don't have much of a reaction to being tickled.

so i replied i'd just turn around and tell them to meet my fist, which i thought was a brilliant idea since i don't need to move away(from being tickled and carrying on a fight, i'd just smack them and they'd be out or at least recoil for me to hit them more)

can anyone confirm if being ticklish is linked to our sense of danger or something?

in any case the real question here is how ticklish are you all?
VERY. I mean, you dont even have to tickle me for me to get hysterical.
I am quite ticklish but do not like being tickled. My little brother used to be very ticklish, but not so much anymore - maybe I tickled him too much. There's a girl in my accommodation who will literally jump about three feet in the air as soon as anything touches her ribcage.
