Exam style question help

Hi there, just wondering if anyone could help me answer:
'Why must zinc chloride be molten for electrolysis'?
It sounds fairly simple but I cant find it in my textbook :/

Electrolysis needs the ions to be able to move. zinc chloride exists as a salt in a lattice and therefore when solid the ions are not free to move :smile:
