19 - I want to join to college - Discussion

hey, whats good

i'm 19 and I want to go to college to study "level 3 IT (computing and programming)" I have never attended college before, I left school and worked for 3 years, do i need to pay, how do I pay, do I get help, can someone help?

Sorry nobody with experience has replied.
The rules on what money the government provide to a college for 16+ education changed when compulsory post-16 education was introduced. The best thing to do would be to arrange a visit to a local college that offers the course and discuss things with them. As far as I understand the current rules you would not pay tuition or exam fees as this is your first level 3 study. You might incur other costs but you might also get some financial help depending on your personal circumstances. Good luck with your course.
