C4 - Finding "the" solution?

When it says find "the" solution is it making reference to a general solution or a particular solution.
b) Hence obtain the solution of (insert differential equation here)

Does it give you like a coordinate or some other information to calculate the constant?
Because if not, I guess you can only calculate the general solution.
We learnt that it's only general solution unless they give you extra information of coordinates etc

If they have given boundary conditions then it is the particular solution. If you have been given no conditions then finding the particular solution would be impossible - since they haven't given you a particular case.
The general solution gives you a so called 'family' of curves - there are an infinite number of possibilities since the constants in the general solution could take any value.
