Applying to uni

Im currently retaking my AS year but only doing 3 subjects this time round instead of 4. I know that Uni's like students to do 4 subjects at AS, therefore would i be able to use one of my AS grades from last year as a 4th subject to apply with?

You would be expected to declare everything you have studied previously, whether they would use the points from that would be up to the university.

Whilst some universities prefer students to sit a 4th AS the only one I know of who makes offers in that way is UCL and they usually require an E at AS level
