One thing for me is that Exeter is a Russel Group, whereas Surrey isn't, however Surrey is pretty high in league tables - does being a Russel group university make a big difference?

Considering same thing, but for my course Surrey has higher employment rate than Exeter and much higher in the league tables as you said
When I went to both, the Professors at Surrey said that they lack the facilities to be Russell group.
But i'd rather wait till someone with sufficient knowledge to reply
