Cheers! Didn't know they won't allow escorts. Have they stopped home invigilation as well? It's been years since I did it and I was pretty dubious about it then, but you know, when the head tells you you have to...

Home invigilation is still OK (I still remember fondly the mother who used to bake a cake for the invigilator) but I have recently seen a pronouncement saying you couldn't move candidates with clashes between centres -luckily this is the first year in 20 when my school hasn't needed to!

I've never had to move between centres, but invigilating a kid who was practically doing the exam in the toilet thanks to constant diarrhoea was an experience not to be forgotten. I was there for five hours without food or drink or a break.

It is nothing to do with the exam boards. As I said, the Op needs to get all the exams transferred to one centre. I previously would have said that he could be escorted between centres by a member of centre staff but this is now not allowed so the ONLY options are:

1.

to transfer all the exams to the same centre or

2.

To change units (within the units allowable for Maths and FM) so that this does not happen.

Ofc its to do with the exam board in the sense they take overall responsibility for the exams and delegate authority to the exam centres . If you are saying the exam centres have it withink their delegated authority to allow a transfer of exam, then thats great and the OP will be happy. I dont know the rules of the board concerned, but the consolidation of exams would be the obvious choice. It wont take the pupil or the exam organiser long to check on Monday.
The OP should have consulted their school about entries as this clash would have been obvious from the beginning - as has been already said the exams need to be sat in one place.

I have 2 exam clashes in Jun 2019 series (22/5/19- Chinese ends at 15:25 but Physics paper 1 starts at 16:30, and 6/6/19- Maths paper 4h ends at 15:00 and English 2nd Lang paper 1 starts at 16:30). I hope that the centres are close to each other, and are easily accessible by MTR, so I can plan my journey easily!
