How does marking in essay physics questions work? [OCR mainly]

So for a 4 mark question where it does not specify how many reasons. If I give 5 where 4 are right one is maybe right/incorrect will I still get 4?

Do they look at the first 4 bullet points or the whole thing holistically?

Probably you lose 1 mark for every incorrect point
