Curley's wife

Hello all,

I came across this revision thing, and it said that Curley's wife's virulent nature is a result of her near-sightedness... I don't understand how she's virulent. If anyone would explain this, I would be very grateful.

Thank you

Virulent means bitterly hostile.

Translation:

Curley's wife's [unfriendly] nature is a result of her [not willing to listen to or tolerate other people's views].

So I could link this point with her and Crooks' little argument of him saying get out of my room?
