I don't know whether to take business or media studies for GCSE?

I have not studied either and I definitely want to take one but I am so stuck for which one to take, I have researched both but I am still confused if anyone has done either or has information about them please comment them below!

GCSE, it says it in the question xD
Mea culpa i read through it and just looked at the forum.

Have you any idea what you want to do as a career?

Is one more interesting than the other?

aha it's fine :P
What other subjects are you taking for gcse? Then see if one "fits" better. I would personally go for media but I'm biased

Well I haven't studied either but by my research they both seem quite good and interesting. If I choose media I would put business as a reserve or the other way round.

Neither of which would fit perfectly with your other choices however I took business studies GCSE and I found it very interesting and completely loved it so I did a BTEC at college. Now I'm going on from college to do a business management degree.

There's quite a difference between the two media and business. But I believe business can take you further and you are able to branch out.

Hope this helps

Personally, I find business really interesting and so far quite simple. There is quite a lot of key words which you need to learn but a lot of them are self explanatory so it isn't too bad.
The people I know that take media studies generally love it but spend a long time, including many out of school hours, doing their coursework. Assuming you're in year 9, neither business or media studies will be a new GCSE which is good for you.
I think a lot of it comes down to your teacher and your learning style. For the teachers you would have to talk to the older students in your school to see what they think. For the learning style, if you think that generally you perform better in class than an exam then media srudies is probably the way to go as it has mkre coursework (from what I can remember) whereas if you are better in exams then business is probably better for you.
Of course, what you would like to be when you are older also could change it because if for example you wanted to set up your own business then obviously business wouod be better etf.

I did business although it was a BTEC.

I liked it in some ways and disliked it.

We got to create our own website for our made up business and went to a law firm as part of our trip.

I just liked the practicality of it rather than theory.

Since you are doing the GCSE not the BTEC? it could be different to how I did it.
What are he other subjects is it just Maths English and Science?

You can either approach it based on academics i.e not too many soft or non traditional choices or just what you like.
Considering what you are taking then I dont think it will matter too much, so do the one you like best imo. Media studies is a specialised and interesting subject but a bit soft. Do you like to learn about how businesses work or the media?

Aha thank you that helped a lot!!
I can only comment based on my experience of doing half of a Media Studies GCSE course 10 years ago, I bailed out because IMO it was a load of sh*it.
