Question about Compelling Personal Reasons

I was studying a degree for 1.5 years before dropping out. I'm fairly certain I have evidence to claim CPR, but I'd like to know if that still applies when studying a different course?

i.e. Can I re-apply to uni to study a different degree with CPR funding for the first year?
