Looks incredible. Dat sourdough bread :coma:. Where do you buy it from? We bake ours at home.

Also rare steak or no steak.
I lie. Always choose steak.

Why the hell do you spoil a steak in a sandwich? :lolwut:

You only put low quality - or cheap - meat in a sandwich, like ham, bacon, chicken, or a quarter pounder.

Sandwiches are the best kinds of food. Wot r u on.

I got this in Asda, they don't put it with the other loafs of bread it was a lucky find. It's light and crispy and not as rugged as your typical sourdoughs.

You make your own sourdough? Mmmmmmm.
I've got some dishes planned for the blog in no particular order:

I'm going to cook up some Caribbean food: Oxtail with butterbeans and rice

jerk chicken with rice and peas.

Little bit of Asian food: Chicken Teriyaki with veg served with fragrant jasmine rice.

Nasi Goreng is an Indonesian dish and it's REALLY hard to make from scratch. It takes a lot of ingredients and planning so I'll do this some point over the weekend.

Duck with 5spice marinade and spring onion (This one is complicated and very expensive - I've never attempted it so I hope I get it right)

Comfort food: Homemade sausage rolls.

I'll make the sausage rolls on Sunday.

I dont shop in Asda :innocent:. Sourdough should be light - but only crispy when it's been toasted :yep:

Well.. My dad bakes it and I eat it.

Yeah I whacked this one on the george foreman but you can't tell it's crispy it looks white in the picture when it's actually brown. Just like my avatar.

It's messy, I make a lot of mess when I'm cooking. I spill sauces all over the hobs and just turn the kitchen into a bombsite. The floor needs a mop and everything just needs to be sprayed and wiped.

Planning a big spring clean soon.

Unfortunately french cuisine is for the culinary elite :frown:

Once I get really good I'll attempt some stuff, but won't be for a while haha

Get yourself some Arla Skyr! Low calorie, high protein/low fat Icelandic yogurt. Our asda has just started stocking it and currently doing two for £2 on 450g pots.

It's on offer in Tescos too. Just done our online shopping and ordered 6.

This is the best thread I've ever seen on TSR.

I'm that 'indoorsy' type of girl who loves cooking so much! I don't understand how people 'can't find the time' at uni to make good food. It's such a great skill to have! I made oreo cheesecake over the weekend and I'm still so in love

Did your oreo cheesecake require baking at all? Or was it a no-bake cheesecake?
