My cousin went to Saudi for the past 2 weeks for his older brothers wedding, he was getting harassed by a saudi police officer because he is of yemeni origin and so what my cousin did was throw the UK passport on the desk in front of the police officer and the police officer apologised and left him alone :rofl:

Omg. Ive heard so much stories about this. My cousin and her husband went to saudi and literally while he was was waiting in the que it was his turn. The manager served the khaleeji behind him. He spoke out and yelled at the manager and they got into fight.

What im wondering is how easy is it to dofferentiate between a yemeni and saudi do we really look that different? And secondly is i really that bad?? Because in the future i might want to live in saudi, if thats the case ill probably live in one of those compounds tbe british expats live in.

It depends, most yemeni accents are very distinct and people could identify you easily as a yemeni.
But na it isnt that bad everywhere. Obviously you will still face some racism but nowhere near as much as a south asian/black person would over there.

Hello, I'm currently working on a research paper which is an investigation into the representation of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnics (BAME) in theatre, looking at audience development specifically of these ethnic groups.

It's a very short survey, and no you don't need to be interested in theatre to complete! :-)

Any is welcome to complete. I would really appreciate responses from BAME individuals, and/or those who don't attend theatre to participate, as this will be more valuable for the research.
