Yep, a couple, just of people being shot by a firing squad in WW2, not too bad because it was kinda fuzzy and they just dropped to the ground but still distressing also seen images of a "mexican knife cushion" which is some Paedophile dead on the floor with like 20 knives in him.... Although i have been told about "3 men 1 hammer" which is supposedly this video of two people killing the third with a hammer as the title suggests... something about them being in a crazy gang or something? Although tempted to see what its about i always hold back because I KNOW it will be awful.

Few ISIS executions, cartel chainsaw beheadings, 3 guys 1 hammer (do NOT watch this one)

Is the 3 guys 1 hammer as bad as they say? I thought it was all hype but have never watched it and heard it was pretty awful?

I was too scared to watch it but I believe the victim's head turns mushy...

Video quality is pretty shoddy from what I remember and there's way gorier stuff out there, but the fact it is so endlessly drawn out and the guy is alive through the whole thing makes it very hard to sit through

Yes and while they're pretty disgusting and definitely not something I'd really want to watch again, I wouldn't go as far as to say it should be illegal.
I don't think it's comparable to snuff films tbh.

I thought the accepted definition of a snuff film was one that features a filmed killing that was carried out in order to be filmed. That includes many that people are talking about here, including many that have been carried out by ISIS. What's your definition?

I'd extend the definition to include all filmed killings, because the mentality required to enjoy watching a filmed killing of one person (say an armed robber during the robbery) is the same as the mentality required when the victim is another person (say a prisoner in an ISIS or US jail).

I don't think most of the people watching these videos "enjoy" them.

But the links will be there because it would be legal in every other country......................................................................... Not everyone that uses the internet is from the UK.

Well start by banning it in one country and push for it to be banned in all countries and for there to be an international agreement to cooperate in finding, prosecuting and jailing the perpetrators, just as is supposed to happen when the crime is child pornography.
Yes, I am pretty desensitized to everything

Why would other countries care what we do? They'd laugh at us for spending billions on such a ludicrous law.

Is it really that difficult for you to understand that some people are curious and want to experience negative emotions? What are your opinions on people who read sad books or watch gory films?

Throw them all in jail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sick, perverted freaks!

Where's the line drawn?

Well indeed, where is it drawn? But that's not the point. Where's the line drawn between murder and not murder? Good question. But murder is still wrong and should be a crime, and the fact that there is not always a hard and fast line between murder and not murder doesn't refute that.

It's bad logic to argue against a proposition on the basis that categories are fuzzy at the edges. Try defining "paedophile", for example.

You can't enforce the right to free speech and out a ban on everything "degrading" at the same time.

There shouldn't be a universal "right to free speech", and there isn't. For example, child pornography is banned. It's also right that De Sade's book Justine is banned. It glamourises the sexual murder of children. It's bad to have such a book available. (I haven't read it, but I've read a longish description of what's in it.)
Yes. The most horrific was the one produced by ISIS, where they burnt alive the Jordanian pilot. What's worse is that I'm starting to feel immune to all of this ****, as if it's ****ing expected from such a ****ing messed up world.

Are you putting that forward as an argument? Do you think everyone should be allowed to do anything they want that comes from their curiousness and a desire to experience negative emotions? Because that's what you seem to be implying. What about the effect of their actions?

Sad books, no problem. Gory fictional films - yes, some should be banned.

I think its extremely important for people to have the choice as to whether they wish to expose themselves to the grim reality of man and the fragility of life. I have found unique insights by visiting gore sights and independent sites of which i would never have been able to comprehend through censored mainstream media.

Im not talking about viewing images which are purposely made for sickos to watch, more general uncensored images from car accidents, war zones etc

I second this, especially the war zones part. I've actually learnt a lot about ISIS from watching their videos (e.g. how they utilise suicide bombers in front line assaults, and what heavy weapons or unusual weapons they're using). Same with other Syrian rebel and jihadist groups like Nusra. And these videos regularly include death, whether it's executions or combat deaths. I can think of two recent examples (past few weeks) of jihadist fighters with gopros who filmed their own deaths in battle in Syria.

Watching islamic terrorists or armed robbers getting killed is great fun.

Would you find it fun to watch them get tortured or raped? If not, why not?

And given the way things have already gone, such films are likely to be widely watched soon, if nothing is done about it.

Are you seriously saying you don't think their actions have any effect, either on the person watching or on the general culture of the society we live in now that watching such films has become widespread?

Those are very wise words. There is a problem here. Something needs to be done. Things are bad as they are, but if nothing is done they will get worse. It is terrible to get desensitised to violent death.

"No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment"

And a picture of someone dead falls under this catergory how? Technically it isn't even degrading. The definition of degrading an individual is "causing a loss of self-respect" how would lose my own self respect if I'm already dead?

The mistreatment of dead bodies is a war crime, banned under the Geneva Convention (in article 16 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, and also in earlier Geneva documents).

By the way, thank you to everyone who has taken part in the poll.

I'm asking you what effect it has.
There was this infamous videos back in the day called two guys and one hammer. It nearly made me tear, knowing how evil humans can be.

I recommend you don't watch it.
