Fight and defeat her on top of a Starbucks.

I agree its a test plus she doesnt like you.Are they wealthy? If I like the gf, then I wouldnt drop her for that. Not nice and reds her down to £, which is sad.
If it was £100k, then that might cause a rethink.
.........why on earth does she wants you broken up? to the fact that she's willing to give you free money? (imo. 5k isn't so easy to come by in a students world uno) what happened?

The power is in your hands. Get a higher amount of your choosing, say £50,000. If your gf's mum pays you that, you'll be sorted for years. If not, you still get to stay with your gf. Get cash in hand before you dump her. Win win either way.
