If she looks like Haifa Wehbe. then why not?

LOL Haifa Wehbe is sure as heck pretty but it's all fake ofcourse, she's kinda ruined her looks tbh with too much plastic surgery. I get told I look like the Lebanese singer Amar, but I believe there's more to a person than their beauty.

That explains it. If you where a khaleeji or from yemen/jordan. I probably wouldn't have believed. Especially if you said your parents approved

Any way in the arab society (on tsr)we always get atleast one pakistani guy coming in daily wondering their chances of marrying an arab. I think most pakistani men, especially muslim, would marry an arab if they liked them. The problem is whether their family will approve.

Islam encouraged not to judge someone on their race but their merits so bravo on being able to break culture for religion and feel very blessed to have an accomodating/supportive family. I just hope you develop your relationship in an islamic manner.

I know where you're coming from! I can imagine my family back home may be abit iffy if I got on with this guy, but that's understandable given they're not religious and haven't really mingled with non Arabs. They make wild assumptions based on what they hear on the news. My parents Alhamdullilah are supportive, as long as the guy is educated and comes from a respectable family and accepts me for who I am. Lebanese and Pakistani relationships are quite unheard of aswell, so that's why I would like to break stereotypes and show everyone around me that islam encourages interracial marriage, as the prophet said no race is better than the other except by piety and good action.

I'm a Pakistani and it seems as though you are talking about something similar to a Hindu caste system whereby some people are deemed lower than others in society. However, we have family sub-castes - these do not mean that you are lower than another family. They are more like tribes. So we have, for example, Jatts or Ranas and so on. You may see these as people's last names. But they have nothing to do with being 'lower' than another person as they do in Hinduism (which many in India have started to condemn). Yes, some families like to marry within their family 'tribe' but many do not mind. I have never been taught to consider these 'tribes'. I just wanted to clear your misunderstanding. It seems that you are trying to learn a lot about Pakistani culture, which is admirable. Good luck to you and this guy

Thanks for your input, I was trying to explain just that. I am eager to learn, all my friends are Pakistani and we've learnt quite abit about each other's culture

Exactly, I think mostly Khleeji gulf arab women tend to only marry gulf arab men and that maybe includes Yemenies.

Labneese, palestinees and Egyptians and including parts of northern African Arabs are more open to marrying out

Precisely. Yemeni are even worse, they will only marry other Yemenis. Even under the british occupation with the exception of adan, the idea of interracial marriage is unheard of there.

True, Gulf Arabs(Saudia Arabia, UAE, Kuwait etccc) and Yemenis have similar culture and are so different to places like Labanon, Jordan etccc

Technically, Hindu scriptures of authority do not say that a person is higher or lower than someone else: "No-one is superior, no-one is inferior. Like brothers, all are marching forwards to prosperity" (Rig Veda - central Hindu scripture)

“When one beholds one and the same Lord existing equally in every being, one does not injure anybody; because one considers every being as one’s own self.” (Bhagavad Gita)

The upper/lower caste system represents societal neglect of these essential teachings of Hinduism, rather than some central teaching of the religion.

I didn't know that it had been distorted by societal beliefs, thank you, that's interesting. I have been taught about the system when learning about the Dalits and wasn't taught about its origins or distortion. I was referring to it as it is today though. My main point was to explain that our 'tribal' family groups are not the same as the modern caste system (as the OP suggested). They are but a name. Thank you for the insight

I don't know any palestinians but...

ALL types of Arab guys have a player image behind them, I'm sure some are very nice and loyal but that's their stereotype.

My ex is Lebanese, and unfortunately was a player :/

Indeed I am.
I'm Indian Muslim and have quite a lot of extended family members who are married to Arabs (Egyptian, Moroccan and Yemeni). I know that one of them was disastrous and ended up with a divorce (this was the Egyptian-Indian one) whilst the other Egyptian-Indian couple seem a bit strange in the sense that they act more like business partners than husband and wife. They also seem like they're only together for the sake of their children. The Moroccan-Indian couple on the other hand, are great. All their children speak fluent Hindi/Urdu, Arabic and French. The Yemeni-Indian couples I don't know much about, since they live in Yemen.
