Depends on your school. For my school it's not the case where people are both struggling with maths and FM, my friend took it to look 'hard' and 'smart', his dropping it though...
Really depends. The people who do well in further maths will most likely find normal maths easy, but i dont think its as clear cut for people that struggle with further

I don't find Further Maths that much harder than Maths to be quite frank.

Personally think it's easier to get an A* in fm than maths as I reckon it's easier to do well in S2 and M2 than C3 and C4 + you have more modules to get higher than 90 in

Depends really what you find hard in maths the computation or the theory. The theory is pretty similar in both. The computation is harder in further maths.
Hmm maths isnt easy when you are aiming for full UMS.
Piss easy to get an A though. :colondollar: (AS maths)
That is in my opinion.

Questions are very repetitive and if you are good at pattern spotting you can just look at the questions and know what you have to do most of the time.

Further maths is harder because the grade boundries can be even higher.
This is just for AS though. Im sure A2 is different.

Also depends on the modules.
Basically Maths at A-level to me is SATs in Year 6
And Further maths at A-level is GCSE's

I think you have a few groups of people:

Those who find AFM/FM/M piss easy.
Those who find FM hard but M easy.
Those who find both FM and M hard.

Honestly i csn believe it- its not that much harder, you just sit more modules so need to be a bit more well rounded

So probably FP2 FP4 M3 M4 M5 S3?

I can certainly verify that FP2/3 and S3 is really easy out of those.

Further Maths isn't much harder than Maths at all, the stuff you learn is just different, and slightly weirder (complex numbers being a good example). Also, some of the further content builds on the techniques you learn in the regular Maths A-level, so it can appear harder.

Same here. Not 'that' much harder tbh
No. C4 is still pretty hard tbh. Easier than the Further modules, but still no walk in the park.
I do further maths and a lot of people in my class struggle more with the core maths then they do further. Mainly due to not having a calculator for one of the exams, though.
I don't know how it works everywhere else but for the exam board I'm doing (edexcel), your best exams are put into your core maths result, so generally you'd do better in core.
