that may be ironic but you know very well... you do use lol in every message!!!
idk... sometimes some messages just seem weird and incomplete without them. It makes messages seem friendlier and less blunt. like "where r u? xx" seems nicer than just "where r u?" to me.

why do people have to use "lol" in every message...
looks quite unnecessary :K:

LOL HAHAHA

I'm really sorry, I just had the urge to do so
because we want to x whats your problem x
also it can be used to signal that a conversation/message is complete
It looks too harsh without one sometimes.

I dunno if it's popular but it gets me excited.
if somebody texts me and puts xx at the end I reply with xx because it's polite...

I put kisses to my mum on all texts as does she ( I can also tell when she's angry depending on how many xx she puts 2 to 4 is Good, 1 is bad) girlfriend at the end of texts (used to do it all the time but she didn't so I gave up XD ) sometimes my friends but mostly female although I do put xx to some male friends, but apart from my mum I put xx at the end of texts to signal end of conversation, like bye xx.

Occasionally I replace the xx with emojis, depending on the person usually it's a heart emoji

I've always done it... Learnt it from my mum I think
What's wrong with using a little bit of early 2000's SMS text talk in 2016? :dontknow:

Because it makes the message look pretty :awesome:
It's usually an affectionate thing, but it doesn't necessarily mean you fancy them or even mean anything at all. If I don't put one it's either because I'm in a rush (or annoyed tbh). Normally I put one at the end of a text for boyfriend/friends/family, it's just habit now. Obviously it might be inappropriate to do with an employer or colleague you don't know that well (although sometimes it happens!) But it's not too big of a deal. I don't get why people have such a strong opinion on it? Its some peoples way of signing off a text. It's just a letter right?
