essentially it's just making proteins.
occurs in the ribosomes of cells.
You're basically using Amino Acids to make chains of Amino Acids and then joining chains to make proteins eg enzymes.
The protein you make depends on the instructions from mRNA (basically DNA).

Simply put, the proteins you eat are broken down into amino acids, which are then used as a source for proteins to be used for various purposes in the body.
