How is the wifi?

Hi!
I was wondering, how is the free Wifi on the accomandations?
Mostly referring to online gaming, but also Netflix, youtube etc.

I don't attend so I may be wrong… but I believe Newcastle is served by Jisc's eduroam and so you should have a very comfortable experience. Certainly able to do all of that.

I went to Newcastle and stayed at St. Marrys halls. It's really far from uni but you can get a bus. It was really cheap accommodation but it had no wifi only an Ethernet cable and even with those Steam was blocked and even worse PORN!
There are two ways you can get around this, 1) Get an IP or 2) Turn your phone into a wifi hotspot, make sure you have unlimited data btw.
I think this might have changed but that was the experience i had.
In every other accommodation they had wifi
