University course options?

I am applying universities next year and still dont know what course I should choose ... I am studying AS maths, Further maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. My predicted grades are AAAAA. I am enjoying the AS levels that i am currently doing.
I want my future career is work/life balance and good income. Can someone give me some advices on what course I should take?

What subjects are you planning on studying at A2?

Then I'd say an engineering degree, since it will enable you to get a decently paid job or even move to other, even better paid careers, like banking (be aware banking has insane hours).

With those subjects you might be interested in Chemical, Materials or Biomedical Engineering, check them out :smile:

Yes and maybe start with a general course rather than specialising too early if OP is unsure. Most general courses allow specialisation in later years.

Eg General Engineering or Natural Sciences

Thanks for your advice, yes i am looking up engineering in Cambridge. If i take chemical engineering, i will be doing general engineering for the first year. Would you recommend that option?

That's fine. By the way, you can do NatSci and then progress into Chemical engineering, which should be slightly easier to get into without A2 Further Maths. It will also enable you to take more chemistry/biology oriented options, if that is of interest.

You will need Further Maths at least AS-level for Cambridge if you intend applying for ChemEng via Engineering. You can also go to ChemEng via Natural Sciences and that *might* be less strict on the Further Maths requirement.

Also the typical offer is A*A*A

You need FP1 and ideally M2 & M3. Some colleges require FM at full A-level, and most applicants will have that.
