Equilibrium

in the equation Cl2+H2O (equilibrium sign) HCl+HClO

what are 2 disturbances which would cause a decrease in the conc. of Cl

Use le chatelier's principle

i don't know what that is

but i do know what one can do to move equilibrium eleswhere, factors such as pressure, temperature etc

Think about each factor individually. In what circumstances does pressure affect the position of dynamic equilibrium? The same for temperature and whatever others you can think of.

i don't know?
how do i decrease conc of something?
add more of other stuff?
reduce pressure? would that work?

Continually separate product out.
Yeah.
How many moles of gas do you have on the left and the right? If they're equal then changing pressure does nothing. If they're unequal then increasing pressure drives equilibrium towards less gas.

A great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced?
