I'd just hug them in whatever way seemed natural. It would sort of depend on how tall they were, anyway. There's no one right and best way to give a hug.
I hug the guy a like with both arms around his back and don't want to let go 😳 And because he is nearly a foot taller than me I have to go in my tiptoes which he takes the pee out of. But really there's not any difference between how I hug a friend or someone I like other than I don't want to let go when it's the latter.
Arms round the waist and hug tightly.:colone: I'd do arms around the neck but unfortunately I'm not tall enough.:s-smilie:
Can't go wrong with an awkward side hug
