How to download audio?

Basically I'm wondering if it's possible to download audio off kerboodle to use for revision?

I am sure that it isn't normally possible since Kerboodle products are bundled together and they wouldn't like people to be downloading individual pieces of data. However, if you did want to extract the data from the page, it is most likely possible.

But how exactly would you do that?

You would need to download specialist software that is able to detect any audio streams which are flowing through your browser. E.g. Download managers can help with this.

On the contrary I am sure Kerboodle offer CD-ROMs with all their information on. Why don't you just ask for a CD copy of the text book?

Its not the whole textbook I'm after, theres only like 7 or 8 podcasts to listen to on their website and I'd find it very helpful to be able to listen to them offline on my phone. You cant access the website on your phone to get to the podcasts and theres no app. Theyre all less than 10 minutes long. I don't see how a CD would help in this case.

Just out of curiosity are the podcasts available to the public or would you need to login to access them on Kerboodle?

You need to login. Its not very useful just being able to access them while on a pc.

In that case, I really can't say for sure since it has been a long time since I used Kerboodle and they may have restrictions in place preventing people from downloading audio.

Just another idea here, but if you have audio recording software on your computer, you could just easily start the software and then play the podcast and let it record. So once the podcast has finished, you can easily replay the saved file on your computer, which then you could upload/share to your phone or other device.

EDIT: You might want to check this link out. If you have Windows Vista/7 there is a sound recorder app installed which you can use: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/record-audio-with-sound-recorder

Alright, thanks anyway. I've resorted to playing it on my pc and then using sound recording from my phone 😂. It's awfully tedious and the quality isnt that great but since theres no other way I'll just have to finish recording the rest.

Sure, no problem.

If you were concerned with the sound quality, just have a look at the link I added above. You could click on the start button and search for sound recorder (if you are using Windows). That maybe of some use.
