I think if a woman had a choice between being treated as a precious stone, or an autonomous individual with equal rights and employment, I think she'd go for the latter sweetheart.

To say a woman is treated as a ****ing sapphire is too perfectly illustrative of the attitudes out there. So I'm actually wondering whether you're taking the piss.
