What grades did you get and what job are you working in?

It'll be interesting to see the correlation between grades and career paths people have taken.

Mines:
GCSE's: 2 A's, 7 B's and a C
A Levels: AAB
Undergraduate: First

Current occupation: Finance Assistant at a well known fast food restaurant.
Salary: £23,000 plus funded ACCA studies

I did Accounting, ICT and Mathematics at A Levels. Accounting and Finance at university.
A Levels - BBC
Degree - 2.2

Current job - Tax Inspector £30k. Should get a promotion this year though.

English Lang/Lit, History, Critical Thinking

Degree was some daft sports course.
I went through the Scottish Education system:-
Standard Grades: 7 x Grade 1's, 2 x Grade 2's
Highers: 2 x A, 2 x B, 2 x C
Advanced Highers: 2 x As
Degree: MA (Hons) in Economics 2:1

Currently work as a caseworker for the Scottish Parliament

A Levels: ABB (English Language, English Literature and Psychology)

Degree: 2.1 (English)

Job: I currently work in PR as Account Exec. You can progress very quickly in my sector so I'm aiming to be a manager in 2 years.

Retook GCSE maths to give 5C's

Started an officer cadetship in the merchant navy.

HND, NVQ2/3, various other qualifications over 3 years.

Now working as a 2nd mate navigational officer on an offshore supply ship in the north sea. 44k (working for 5 years now) and national insurance free. I could be tax free but im not at the moment.

If you don't make so many years NI contributions you won't get a full state pension. It'll be a reduced rate.

Its 30 years you need and I make sure to pay the class 2 contributions which cover that, even though ill probably be dead before I can claim state pension.

Undergrad (Psychology): First
MSc (Sport & Exercise Psych): Merit (should have got a Distinction, but I had 5 months in hospital for anorexia treatment and then relapsed, so I let it affect me too much)

Career: Civil Service FastStream (started on 4th April!) - starting salary just over ~£29k.

And it is amazing, I love it. :smile:

Undergrad: 2.1

Currently working as a research technician and loving it :smile:

I can't believe that several of you have completed higher education without learning how to use apostrophes. Your stories aren't very realistic.
