Thought it would be helpful to make a thread for everyone taking this exam, so we can help each other with revision, exam techniques, ask questions etc.

Hey

Went well thanks. Now finished, so just got a few weeks worth of revision and past papers before the exams!
My teacher marked me as a grade B on my 1st Controlled Assessment (subject to moderation). I was fairly pleased with this result though!
And I sat a coastal environment mock before easter and found out I got a grade B. I know its not brilliant, but I'm making excellent progress!
Fingers crossed all goes well for me! :smile:

How do you know your grade/mark in CA? - teachers are inclined to withhold your mark as they could be changed after moderation by the board, or so I thought?

That's what my teacher also said, but she said she's been teaching for such a long time that she's so accurate in marking, so much so that none of her marks have ever been changed by AQA.

Same here, my teacher is very experienced and also marks some of the exams in the summer, so I have more faith in my mark being accurate :smile:

Im guessing unit 1 will be the usual: Overdeveloped, sustainable coastal and urban planning, spits, managed retreat, traffic management, hard and soft engineering, challenges and opportunities of urban slums etc. As for unit 2 I suspect it'll also be predictable, depending on which two questions you decide to answer.
