Answering questions

A valid method that gets the correct answer would score all marks as long as it's clear and all mathematically correct. Unless stated, the method doesn't matter.

In mathematics is the method used in the mark scheme the one they expect me to use in order to get full marks or can you still get full marks with another method as long as you get the right answer?

For example, for a HCF question I wrote: HCF = 3 X 5 X 5 = 75
Mark scheme says 1 mark for 3 X 5² and second mark for correct answer. (75)

Would you still get all the marks for not doing what they want you to write?

You've written precisely the same thing as the markscheme, just in a slightly different way. You would definitely get the marks.
