Hi all,
So on Tuesday I have the English Language IGCSE.

I'm doing past papers but some of the old past papers are different.
If anybody can help me then it would be much appreciated!

I want to know, how would I start a report?

Hi, I'm doing eng on Tuesday aswell.

The lang paper we're doing will be like the 2015 past papers. The 2014 ones and earlier are very similar except from q 3 which is only slightly different but requires the same skills. Hope that helps. If you need 2015 PP visit igcsecentre.co.uk cos they have sh** tons.

Tbh I struggle with the style of writing for q 1, but for a report you need a line that will grip the reader. Good luck :smile:

How do you write a report and a magazine article? Im struggling to see the difference between these and a newspaper article.

It is the same syllabus but q3 is different, to fix this cross out the 3(b), then list all the points for 3(a) and on the other side summarize your points just like recent papers.

At the start of the report you need to explain the situation (you should remember to use a formal tone and voice)

A magazine is just like a newspaper report except, you do not need to use quotes. Introduce the topic, explain the background, discuss the topic, give a prediction for the future and then conclude it (remember the tone and voice)
