IGCSE English Language help
I have 44/50 on my cw and 24/30 for my sal. How many marks do I need in the exam to get and A*?
Let me give you the full set of details.
In terms of the iGCSE ExtendedLanguage Paper
Extended Paper(50marks) + Coursework(50marks) +S&L(30marks) = Total English Language Grade (130 marks)
50 out of 130 = E
62 out of 130 = D
75 out of 130 = C
84 out of 130 = B
94 out of 130 = A
104 out of 130 = A*
You have 68 marks in total so far (Coursework + S&L)
In order to achieve an A* you will need 36 marks in thepaper. I would say 38 just to be safe!

Are you certain those will be the grade boundaries this year or thereabouts?

this is wrong. the total mark is out of 125 as they scale your speaking and listening down to a mark out of 25. also the grade boundary varies from 104-108/125
so you have 44 + (24/30)*25 = 44 + 20 = 64 marks
to get a* you need like 40 (best case scenario) and 44 (worst case)

Oh right, I'm sorry I didn't know that. The grade boundaries I gave were the same our teacher showed us from Cambridge iGCSE website. I just presumed it was out of 130.

The grade boundaries will be around this I'm certain. Despite the person below saying that it's out of 125, there may be a few marks difference. But it shouldn't stop you from trying your absolute best on the paper! Good luck
