Unauthorised Absence from School Affecting Uni Applications

Hiya guys! Could someone please tell me if an unauthorised absence for a day from sixth form would affect my ability to get into the best unis in the UK!

Thank you. Will the universityies be able to see it on my record or something. And when teachers do my references are they obliged do mention it.

No they aren't obliged to put the in references and unis only see what's in that and what you put on your UCAS, what had your school told you?
