Again with the ad-hominem, I never said I was offended. The insinuations you make, by contrast, are suppose to be assaults on the character of the person you are talking to. In this case me.

It is just a nasty way to communicate. You don't stay on topic, you don't address the points made by someone, you simply make posts about them.

And I'm not anti-lefty, again, you are making insinuations about me. You don't even attempt to address what I said.

It just makes you look like a horrid person, a bully, and not very bright.

It's the typical left-wing approach:

1. Narrate your opponents points, rather than debate them - tell them what they are, rather than argue them. 'The personal is political.' It's what divides the right and left - the left thinks identity takes priority, the right thinks everyone, irrespective of identity, is an individual.

2. Extrapolate your opponents arguments and extend them to ridiculous extremities, none of which bare any resemblance to reality, then argue that because the outcome of your manufactured argument is insane, said person you oppose is insane, ie, because Trump wants to limit Muslim migration, Trump = Muslim hater or Trump = fascist. It has been this way for decades - what people say these days is utterly irrelevant, it's what everyone else - the left - perceives they say that matters.

Of course, that would actually determine that Trump is a left-winger, the clue is in the name: The National Socialist German Workers Party. But heh ho, logic isn't a prerequisite to holding left-wing views - all you need to be is righteous, superior and relativist.

Germany doing a Sweden here. Honestly, both these countries and their people deserve everything they get. Having said that....

Sup girl. You Muslim? Cos your body Islamin'

I completely support the Germans and Swedish suffering (and watching it too), I have no problem with that, but the whole issue of EU open borders changes things, these migrants will get citizenship in no time and then access to the UK to spread their wild behaviour here

Ssssshhhh, little boy, nobody cares about your bigoted identity politics.

Since when is accepting refugees bigoted?

An ad-hominem in regards to what argument? I'm not even debating anything lmao

Ad hominen is Latin for 'to the man' if I'm not mistaken. Your posts are about the poster not the topic.

It's a fallacy in debating, but it has context outside debating. Progress of a sort, you made a post that wasn't about me, next you'll make one about the topic and really surprise us.

No, ad-hom is meaningless outside of an argument

The idea behind it is to help young African and Arab men practice in socially interacting with German women, basically they (migrants) get to practice their pickup lines while they get schooled on how western women think and act.

This is a response to the rising sexual attacks against women in Germany by the new arrivals, and it's a questionable move. It seems to be trying to promote consensual sex between the new arrivals and German women, to avoid sexual frustration which may often be a driving cause of the sexual assaults.

So the German government is using tax payer money to teach Muslim males how to attract their women, could anyone have predicted this absurd situation a decade or two ago. I wonder what the shelf life of indigenous Germans is with this sort of government policy being implemented.

Why is that the majority of criticisms the right makes about the left are just as applicable to the right?

1. The right place just as much importance on identity- the class system and other hierarchies are the biggest example of that. They generally support sorting people into groups and being of the opinion that it is right those groups they have varying privilege.

2. "Sanders supports national healthcare" = "Sanders is a dirty commie" or "Corbyn supports democractically engaging with Islamists" = "Corbyn is a supporter of terrorism"

I told you what it means, ad hominem it's Latin for 'to the man'. It's not meaningless, it fits in perfectly with what I posted, your contributions weren't on the topic, they were about the poster 'to the man'.They were ad hominem.Got any links that show it is exclusively debating terminology and meaningless in any other context ?

You're being overly literal about the direct translation. No one uses it like that.

Yup. The contradictions of the left are also just astounding. White man wears shirt with cartoon women on it: He is Hitler incarnated. Muslim migrant rapes any women who doesn't dress head to toe in a veil? Aw bless he's just a bit confused.

Completely agree. This applies to the UK Left as a whole too! On May Day Corbyn addressed a rally with supporters waving communist flags. Nothing happened and nothing was reported! Imagine if that was Nigel Farage addressing a rally with a supporter wearing a Swastika, it'd be all over the media! But just have a look at this from a few days ago-

96766911_POTD_Corbyn-large_trans++eo_i_u9APj8RuoebjoAHt0k9u7HhRJvuo-ZLenGRumA.jpg

Communism killed 60 million+ people- which although Hitler's Nazi policies were abhorrent- made him look amateurish compared to the scale and destruction of communism! And yet no one bats an eyelid! These contradictions are astounding.

That (some cases of) French cuckoldry isn't(/aren't) too far off the German cuckoldry you mentioned in your first post.

Yes they' do, even in debating it is used literally to mean exactly that. Your arguments are being directed to the man and not the position he takes in the debate, that's what's meant we someone says "my opponent is making ad hominem retorts/attacks".

It is a Latin phrase popularized by debating, not exclusive to it.

Pseudo intellectual that heard a phrase and can't compute it in any other context other than that which it was initially heard.
