I am a pacifist and I think that violence should only be used as an absolute last resort. Yes, the examples you mentioned are quite extreme and therefore need an extreme response, but not to cause harm intentionally.
We need to do more to help those who are seeking asylum. If the UK were to have a civil war or was war torn, I think we'd want other countries to come to our aid. Just welcoming them here isn't the end though, we need to integrate them into our society.
Yes, I like Winnie the Pooh.
This very much sounds like you're trying to chat me up. I'd prefer not to answer.

Maybe be a bit lighter- lose a bit of fat around my tummy.
Everyone has sinned, not just those in the military. We are all mere humans and sinning is part of our nature.

Firstly I wasn't chatting you up, however if it came over as if i was i apologise, it wasnt my intention, It is a AMA thread and asked you what popped into my head.

Well, this isn't fun at all.
I thought this thread was something like I'm dating or going to date the Vicar's daughter behind his back; probably the influence of listening to Drake + the thread I was reading before this..

Favourite fruit?

Do you like bananas?

Do you believe that christains are persecuted in the UK?

if the CoE was dispanded what denomination would you choose?

Do you believe in the infallibility of the bible?

I'm a socialist and a pacifist.
Quite a lot: join the army, vote for the Tories, kill another person etc etc.
I don't have a favourite period of history, I'm just fascinated in it all. There's always been mistakes in the past and people in the future will almost definitely question some of the decisions we've made.
It's OK. never formally studied it.
Never had a boyfriend.
I think that God created the world through the Big Bang and through evolution. There's no way that we're by chance. Everything we see around us is so complicated, there can't not be a creator.

But why couldn't we be here by chance? there are billions, and billions of planets out their, the chance of at least 1 planet (us) consisting of life is high.

Do you not ever wonder (not to disrespect, as I do have a family member who lives in a Monastry, monk I think they call them(?) that someone back thousands of years ago, made up god? surely them times they weren't the brightest, and going through hundreds, or thousands of years, what basically was a Chinese whispers into writing the bible, could just of been things extremely exaggerated?

not trying to convince, not as if you would either, just wonder what your opinion on this would be?

What is your stance on social issues?

I love your avatar, by the way. :h:

I think we have a responsibility to care for everyone in our society. This includes giving benefits to the poor because sometimes, it isn't their fault they live in poverty. The people in charge should try to help everyone so we all have equal opportunities and these are good opportunities.

I'll move on from philosophical stuff, something else has been bugging me: On wikipedia and on one of your earlier posts, when referring to God using words like "he" or "his", it's had a capital H. Is there a reason for that which I'm not aware of or am I just seeing a lot of extremely coincidental typos?

I use a capital H to show God respect. It's something that I've always done,

Is there much difference between a vicar and a priest?
Do you feel pressure to act a certain way due to your parent's occupation?

Vicars and priests basically do the same thing. The main difference is that they belong to different denominations. I do feel pressure to act in a certain way, only if someone else knows what my dad does. It definitely depends.

Do your parents allow you to have a bf?

Yes, as long as he could meet my parents' standards.

Anglican or Catholic?

Anglican

Do you think it right that the church has decided it can no longer be bothered to maintain its (full, so no space for making money from new plots) burial grounds and so has instead passed them off to the local parish councils who are now having to fund the upkeep through tax-payer money?

With people becoming less religious, would they want to be buried in a graveyard with religious connotations? The Church only has a limited amount of money and I think it passed on its graveyards because of that, rather than because it can't be bothered to maintain them.

How much do Vicars get paid on average? Is it a sustainable career?

Parish vicars earn about £23,000, I think. In the CoE, vicars also get a house with the job, so it isn't to bad. I would say it is what you make of it.

Do you think morality is absolute or relative?

Absolute?

Share one piece of wisdom you've learned about life?

Everyone has their own challenges, so don't wish you had someone else's life.

Some of your questions felt quite personal, sorry for coming over as a bit aggressive. This is the first AMA i've done.

I can't remember how I chose my username. I set up this account ages ago.
I can't speak Russian
I don't really know enough to have an informed opinion an Syria. The people in ISIS who claim to be Muslims are hijacking the religion, I think, and are giving a bad name to real Muslims.
Apples
Yes
No but some people have uninformed opinions about us without talking to a Christian.
I would choose a church, not based on its denomination, but how they live out Christian values.
The Bible is God inspired but written by people. Of course, there's bits that you should take with a pinch of salt but on the whole, I believe that it is the word of God

Everything has to be just right for life to exist here on Earth. Personally, that couldn't have happened by chance. I think all the evidence points to the fact that there is a God. The Bible was handed down over generations and through translations. I know that it isn't the original but for me, the meaning is important and that's what we have in English

I don't wish to offer a question but i will state my opinion and that is your views are truly frightening.

But kudos to you for living with such views and having courage in your conviction.

why do you think my views are frightening?

why do you think my views are frightening?

I think in today's modern world having views such as ''Only shoot terrorists as a last resort'' just don't stand up to the world we currently live in and stating that ''Being gay is not a sin but acting on it is'' is just so insane.

Is just truly horrifying and also the fact that you support Labour/Greens parties who would do far more damage to the UK than good in my humble opinion is just scandalous.

Demolishing a countries defences and the ability to defend itself is no way in my opinion a way in which a country should be ran in today's world of Terrorist threats and unstable countries and with failed regimes not to far from the shores of any European Nation.

Furthermore staying in an Undemocratic club that is the European Union is odd to me as well don't you think as Democratic Nation you should be able to vote for people who represent you and your views? we can't vote on the judges of the European Court Of Human Rights who's ruling's all EU countries have to abide don't you think the UK has the ability through it's own legal system have the ability to make it's own decisions based on what's good for the UK and it's people.

But i respect your opinions but i do think they are positively frightening.

We can vote on who represents us in the European Parliament. Most people choose not to vote and so aren't happy with the results. Maybe if more people showed an interest in these types of elections, we'd get a more representative European Parliament.
Also, I did say I don't really know enough either way to make an informed decision. To me, it makes more sense, though, to stay in so we can make a change from the inside, rather than to change it from the outside.

- Why do we need an European Parliament? , when we have The House Of Commons and the House Of Lords.
