1970's attitudes to women are to blame for rampant paedophilia. It's a warning for us

When you look at music, film and television from the era, sexual entitlement could only end in the molestation of the underage. When I look at music videos now and the excuses made for religious communities, particularly Catholic and Muslim, we will continue to see cases like Adam Johnson and the Rotherham paedophile ring if we don't agree as a society that these attitudes are morally, I'm not talking legally here, wrong.

I believe when you have music videos where idiots are pointing at an arse that is bouncing up and down you help breed a particular type of sexual entitlement that was rife in the 1970's and led to unchecked paedophilia.

we seem to be paranoid that sexual predators lurk in the bushes in parks and not allow our children any freedom whatsoever but turn on any music channel and you see soft porn as a matter of course. It's a leap of logic I admit but sexual entitlement is a problem that can only lead to such acts.

FYI, you can't use 'sex offender' and 'paedophile' interchangeably. For example, Adam Johnson is a convicted sex offender. His crime doesn't fit the clinical definition of paedophilia, as the activity was with a minor who was not pre-pubescent.

The terms you may be looking for to illustrate your point are 'hebephilia' and 'ephebophilia'.
