Young's Modulus - Calculating Extension

Hi there,

I am confused on question 2 part (a).

My working is below, but I am not getting the answer in the text book which is 2.3mm. Can anyone see what is wrong?

I think I get the same answer as you (see attachment). Perhaps you are reading the answer from the textbook wrong, or maybe even the textbook is wrong?

Thank you so much. Textbook must be definitely wrong then - I've spent about 45 minutes literally redoing the question god knows how many times.
