Completely contradicts the first premise lmfao.

just because you oppose homosexuality, does it mean you must attack gays?

I can understand homosexuality. It isnt by choice and you are born with it. Do I agree with it or necessarily accept it? No. Should the LGBT community force us to accept them? no. Its our own decision and as long as we dont discriminate then i dont see an issue.

If someone is born black, does that mean that you can disagree and believe that being black is wrong? That does not make sense.

thats racism, completely different.
I don't agree with it but gays can do what they want. It is a free country first and foremost.

I'm 17 and openly homosexual. A boy I'm speaking to and me have discussed holding hands in public but I'm personally scared of doing that in fear of being tormented or even being the victim of hate crime.

What are your honest opinions on homosexuality?
Not my thing.
How would you react if you saw a gay couple in the street?

No big deal, especially now with the lower temperature around the discussion it's less of a 'sexual' issue. [For those who don't remember the 80s, the public face of the gay community often seemed to be either totally closeted or completely 'out there', with the leather, the bath houses, the elaborate hanky codes, etc.] FWIW, I don't much like heterosexual couples feeling each other up or making it clear to everybody which orifices they've been using that day either.
What's it like around your area where you live in terms of hate crime and gay people?
I live in a reasonably liberal part of the US. Which doesn't guarantee perfect acceptance, but I've found that especially since same-sex marriage was made legal, people seem more OK with the whole thing. Perhaps it's a question of getting vocabulary to use that doesn't cluster around words like 'queer' or 'deviant'. As for actual violence, there will always be some-- some driven by culture, some just by people who want to be violent and have found easy victims. But it is a very low part of expectations in the adult world.

No its not, it is exactly the same concept. You literally just said you think homosexuality is not a choice, as such they are literally paralleled. You cannot just do what the **** you like, say what you like, and discriminate.

What I don't like is the stereotypical effeminate gay

Why? I would imagine that that's just how they are; they're not intentionally trying to fulfill the stereotype.
Sexual orientation, gender identity and expression aren't important to me at all.
But as a lesbian myself, I don't like that feeling I get when I see another girl and feel all tense inside. I don't have an ounce of gay pride, but more gay shame, because...why does it happen to me? I already have enough issues with social stuff due to autism, but that just makes dealing with things even harder.

After saying that, my heart wants to take on a more 'butch' appearance, while my head is scared that it'll give away to everyone IRL that I'm homosexual (I'm out the closet online as only close friends know who I am but in real life I'm a lot more cautious)

I dont recall saying that I will discriminate. All people are equal at the end of the day.

How do you find other people with the same orientation as you? I go to a sixth form college and there's literally no one -_-
I think it's sad that in this day and age we need threads about homosexuality.

Fine, some men love men, some women love women. Is it bad? NO. Is it harming anyone? NO. Should we make a fuss about it? NO

My honest opinion on homosexuality is nothing. It's just who your attracted to. Some people love the same gender? Good for them. I don't see anything wrong with it, I also don't see anything wrong with the growing media coverage of LGBTQA+ rights.

Love should be cherished between two human beings, it shouldn't be abused and mistreated. I think the sooner some people see this, the better.

I think it's *****ng disgusting as ****.

Makes me feel sick to my mouth just thinking about it.

Men and women are meant. NOT MEN AND MEN. THAT'S WHY THE WOMEN HAS THE GOODS YOU ****TARD!!!!

No one is born gay and this is scientifically proven. In fact, 90% of research shows it is down to pornography and watching new videos over time. If you watch porn that's disgusting. Get married and have a life.

I do however feel for all those trying to quit porn, I understand you find it hard. As long as you give it up asap that's good

Bottom Line: When I see a gay couple I want to knock the **** out them and make them change from being disgusting. Makes me feel sick. I actually feel sick now bloody hell

Who proved this, your local imam?

I have no problems with homosexual people holding hands or being intimate in public. But as with all couples, if they are snogging right in front of my face I would be annoyed. :s-smilie:

Why do they annoy you so much? We are all humans- we should respect each others' lives regardless of whether we agree with each other or not. Just learn to treat people as people- not as gays or straights.

Grow the **** up. It is actually more scientifically founded that homosexuality has a basis in genetics and as such is defined from conception. Your attitude is utterly vile and your opinion is unwelcome. Go fly a kite.
Think it's cute!

why would they be like that? It seems like they're intentionally imitating what they think a female acts like. Over time it just becomes natural?

The stereotype is there and it's very real.

The gays I've met in person aren't like this at all. Totally 'normal' lads. Would never be able to tell they're gay unless you asked, because they don't feel the need to 'act gay'. They are just themselves, getting on with their lives.
