I can understand homosexuality. It isnt by choice and you are born with it. Do I agree with it or necessarily accept it? No. Should the LGBT community force us to accept them? no. Its our own decision and as long as we dont discriminate then i dont see an issue.

No big deal, especially now with the lower temperature around the discussion it's less of a 'sexual' issue. [For those who don't remember the 80s, the public face of the gay community often seemed to be either totally closeted or completely 'out there', with the leather, the bath houses, the elaborate hanky codes, etc.] FWIW, I don't much like heterosexual couples feeling each other up or making it clear to everybody which orifices they've been using that day either.
I live in a reasonably liberal part of the US. Which doesn't guarantee perfect acceptance, but I've found that especially since same-sex marriage was made legal, people seem more OK with the whole thing. Perhaps it's a question of getting vocabulary to use that doesn't cluster around words like 'queer' or 'deviant'. As for actual violence, there will always be some-- some driven by culture, some just by people who want to be violent and have found easy victims. But it is a very low part of expectations in the adult world.

Why? I would imagine that that's just how they are; they're not intentionally trying to fulfill the stereotype.
Sexual orientation, gender identity and expression aren't important to me at all.
But as a lesbian myself, I don't like that feeling I get when I see another girl and feel all tense inside. I don't have an ounce of gay pride, but more gay shame, because...why does it happen to me? I already have enough issues with social stuff due to autism, but that just makes dealing with things even harder.
After saying that, my heart wants to take on a more 'butch' appearance, while my head is scared that it'll give away to everyone IRL that I'm homosexual (I'm out the closet online as only close friends know who I am but in real life I'm a lot more cautious)

I have no problems with homosexual people holding hands or being intimate in public. But as with all couples, if they are snogging right in front of my face I would be annoyed.

why would they be like that? It seems like they're intentionally imitating what they think a female acts like. Over time it just becomes natural?

The gays I've met in person aren't like this at all. Totally 'normal' lads. Would never be able to tell they're gay unless you asked, because they don't feel the need to 'act gay'. They are just themselves, getting on with their lives.
