Does anyone remember the order and questions on the second page - like question 2?

Wtf is a carbocation ?

A carbon atom which has a charge in a molecule.

I got the same answer :/ Turns out I was wrong because there were square brackets around the equation :/ Like
[ (0.39 x mass of copper something) + (4.2 x mass of water)] x T
so it would be [ (0.39 x 300) + (4.2 x 400) ] x 12
:frown::frown::frown::frown:
lets hope they accept our answer :biggrin:
I wrote Water inlet at the bottom, water outlet at the top and anti bumping granules. The next part I wrote that it was Reflux condensing. For the apparatus needed, I wrote horizontal condenser, thermometer and beaker.

What about the diagram completion? I wrote anti-bumping granules and condensation for technique(Which I believe is wrong)
And the 3 modifications? I wrote Thermometer,Beaker/Flask and fractionating column(I think this is wrong as well)

2-Iodohexane is the major product.

did we have to name the product??

The reagent is alcoholic potassium hydroxide, but the condition I think is heating. Not too sure about the condition.

Heat under reflux
Ikr :P

The graph question: was it a bar graph or a line graph?

Nopes ^_^ They just said to draw the structure of it

even i wrote anti-bumbing granules.... and water in ,... and water out

Line graph

I wrote that heat loss and incomplete combustion were valid.As the sig figs and uncertainty of measuring instruments was too low for a 41% error

I don't get how incomplete combustion was valid?

As in the first question after the hydrogen carbonate decomposition one?
Original post by ToxicPhantom007
Really ? I got around 41 %

Wasn't this like that ----> (1367.3-800)/1367.3 x 100= 41 %

Anyways this paper was so ****

yeah u are correct.. and hell yes it was

I put reflux and ethanol for the conditions :frown:

Well the mass was already quite small(1.65),It could be that some of it was left lets say idk 0.30 which may not have been enough to provide fuel for the flame or something along those lines I think.Whether the justification is correct or not,It is valid because incomplete combustion is capable of that large percentage error.

Line graph

But the x-axis was discrete data. How could that be a line graph?

lets hope they accept our answer :biggrin:

wait why is that wrong , i did the same
Original post by notsoclueless
No I think its only 1 for balancing.So you would get 1/2 for the question.

Like I mean, I didn't write K2CO3 at all. I wrote K2O instead :/

Then yeah probably.It was 2 marks which is usually either 1 mark for both correct reactants,products and states and 2nd for balancing or any other combinations.

i only put ethanol :frown:
