Haha yep! :yep: omg really? Thats just rediculous (and quite funny ) if i aak someone to explain something id like them to be thorough, not justva 2 second answer!

Ahh dont worry about it - i log off at 9ish anyways!

yeah  i could talk for ages if i feel conformable with the people i'm with

okay

that live version is really good
but i think my favourite live song from duran duran is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdYVHxoMNDs

Haha yeah! The early ones are the best! (Or so i find anyways) Very early performances of bands tend yo be very lively and more what you would expect from a live concert - i tend to find when bands progress and get very famous, they also begin to try to hard to please a crowd.

Yep £1!! I dont think there is a link to on youtube (tho i shall have a look) as its a BBC concert, but i shall have a search!

It doesnt say, but i think this is a section of that concert, the versions of the songs are the same anyways

https://youtu.be/NOggEK1Thao

I think that's usually the case. Yeah I know what you mean... U2 were even doing it early on, but it can get slightly irritating with Bono always trying to do some daring thing at a concert, you know? Like he's always climbing scaffoldings  Still though, they were an amazing live band.

That's so cool

I enjoyed that  I think I like early Duran Duran the best  I like the early outfits XD I have an early performance for you in return:

You like Duran Duran? they happen to be my all time favourite band :blushing: i like their live 1981 performances and the first album best!! Omg Girls On Film is fantastic!!! :woo: great performance too!

Ive never been a U2 fan really, but i get what you mean about about Bono  hes just one of those people who genuinly annoys me for some reason  i find him a bit.... Of a try hard

Same actually! Their 1981 performancea (live and totp) were the best ones, the set lists were so good! And i agree about the the outfits/styles

I liked that early(?) Crocodiles version, a tiny part (well a reasonably sized part) of me would quite liked to have seen them in their hay-day.... How awesome would that be?!

Awesome  They were so influential...

I've only listened to their first album. I don't actually know any of the ones you posted (other than Sunday Morning) (oddly ) so I'd prefer to wait until I hear them for the first time on the albums rather than listen now. More special that way, you know

Hahaha i feel a bit mean doing a McCulloch on him, U2 were (are) obviously very popular!
Haha oh right! He's so baby faced in it, so i thought it may be an early one

Haha duh  i would have died of shock if youd have said 'actually i prefer Wham now) hahaha ikr!!
i still plan on seeing some 'older' bands when im at uni (hopefully) - Rolling Stones are at the top but it will break my uni bugdet

PS after a bit of searching I found half of The Hammersmith concert - I think the songs on this particular video are the best ones!

Haha I know what you mean though  Some of the stuff he does can be a bit cringe-worthy
Haha ah I see  It's also from 1980, and they only formed the year before, so it is early yeah

Cool  Hopefully you can. That would be so cool! My dad mentioned about one day seeing The Who (even though there's obviously only two original members left). You just don't think you'll ever see these massive bands, but it would be great... I'd also like to see Suede and The Cure. U2 too, but that might be unlikely

Awesome  I saw that you posted this in the music thread. I was going to comment on it. I listened to a bit of Friends Of Mine at the start. I think that's one of my favourite Duran Duran songs, along with Careless Memories. I've bookmarked it to watch later  I'll let you know what I think of it when I get around to watching it

The La's... That album is fantastic  Every song is great. A perfect album.

I have Nick Drake's three albums  Listened to the first one so far.

OMD are also good  I have their first 4 albums. As are Tears for Fears, I have their three albums too.

And The Cars are awesome

I really like this Moody Blues song

Yeah  It was a while ago though

I agree  I think Echo and the Bunnymen deserve more recognition... Ian McCulloch was doing the loudmouth thing before Liam Gallagher was
